dodatkowe infomacje (w języku angielskim):

what is it?
Training on Open Space Technology – new effective method of organizing conferences (up to 2500 participants) and developing strategies for organizations and institutions, used both in business and youth work

for whom?
Students, teachers, trainers, youth workers, facilitators interested in learning new methods on how to work with large groups and keep commitment and participation on high level.

“Commitment” and “Participation” are frequently used expressions by professionals engaged in national and international youth work. Everyday experience in working with young people rarely lives up to those ideals.

“Open space” is one of the few proven approaches which actually makes participation happen. It provides space for self-organised and self-determined learning in which the creative potential of the participants can unfold.

This training qualifies for professional facilitation of open space-workshops.
The training has three parts. All take place in the open space-format.
The first part is a full open space including finding the theme (1st day at 4pm), setting up the open space together, identifying and working the issues, documenting results and planning next steps (2nd and 3rd day). You will experience yourself as a participant in open space, a key prerequisite of getting into the spirit and methodology of this technology.
The second part is an “open space on open space” for reflection and learning on the method and the “nuts and bolts” of open space against the backdrop of what you just experienced.(4th day)
The third part is an open space on the role of the facilitator. This open space will be facilitated by participants (5th and 6th day).

Self-organised reflection, reading and studying will be supported through “learning spaces”, reflection groups and a library. As the training progresses, questions and answers will be gathered for ongoing discussion and dialogue.
To sum up, the training is about 90% experiential, self-organised learning in the open space mode, 5% coaching, 5% discussion and dialogue, 0% lecture, 0% case studies, pretty much 0% boredom and pretty close to 100% fun.
There will be no charge for the training nor for room and board. You pay 30 % of your travel costs yourself1. The training course will be held in English. However, the participants will self organise their work in any other possible language, if required.
