UNESCO Initiatives Centre is an independent non-governmental association whose mission is to involve people in developing society based on respect for diversity and a sense of responsibility for social and natural environment.

We are the team of young people motivated to act for improving the environment we live in. We work on translate our ideals into reality on the ground through:

• promoting non-formal education methods as the tools of intercultural learning
• supporting youth initiatives connected with intercultural dialogue, human rights and tolerance
• raising awareness of citizenship and democracy issues
• making the information about international opportunities more available for young people

As a UNESCO Centre we also share the values of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization mentioned in its constitution and we closely cooperate with Polish National Commission for UNESCO and UNESCO Youth Section from Paris.
